Using Internet Explorer (IE7 and IE8) and missing the file menu bar? This is because by default, Internet Explorer 7 and 8 doesn’t have the menu bar enabled.
To enable the Internet Explorer menu bar:
1. Right-click on any blank area around the toolbar or tab bar in the Internet Explorer.
2. In the context menu that appears, select to tick the Menu Bar.
3. Now, the file menu bar should display.

If you don’t like the additional space taken up by another toolbar, but need to use it…. just hit the “Alt” button… and the menu bar will appear just long enough to use it and then it will disappear
