Launched by Edelman, who is a also Public relations consultancy, Tweetlevel uses the algorithm based on the quantity and quality of “tweets” a Twitter user had comparing to how match of interests the person a user choose to follow.
The tool measures the popularity of a Twitter user according to four main categories: Influence, Popularity, Engagement and Trustwhere where Influence comes in the primary ranking metric. Each category’s score is rated out of 100. The higher the score, the more popular you are.
Apparently, celebrity like @stephenfry and top social media blog @mashable are the top Twitter users by Influence in the Twitter sphere. Most of their tweets can get re-weets continuously and strongly influence the other Twitter users.
