My Word Document Failed to Print, No Printing Menu Come Out!

by JackSimz

One day, I started my XP computer in my office and wanted to do some printing in my Microsoft Office Word document. As I pressed ‘Ctrl+ P’, there was no printing menu prompt out for me to print my document. I also cannot print my Excel, Powerpoint and other documents. I try to check the network at ‘Printers and Faxes’ in my Control Panel, all the Printer network connections gone, nothing over there.

The following message appeared when I try to install one of my Canon Printer driver again:

Processing cannot be continue because the Print Spooler service has been stopped. Restart the computer to start the Print Spooler service and then try again.

Therefore, I restarted my computer for few time, still did not solve the problem. I cannot print anything!

I tried to Google for the solution and check the Print Spooler service to make sure it’s running and found the following solution.

  1. First, go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
  2. Scroll down to make site the Print Spooler service is set to automatic.
  3. You can right click on the service and select properties to restart it.

And now the printing service works again.
