Over these few years, technology has helped to develop more advanced devices, have you notice that the computer size has becomes much smaller than before. The monitor has also becomes much thinner than before.
Will computers still exist in the year 2020? Who knows?
Anyhow, I got a funny comic cartoon from Harold’s Planet designed by Swerling and Lazar regarding “The Evolution of the Computer” illustrating the computer size will be getting smaller and smaller until invisible in the future year. Have a look. Quite interesting.

Of course computers will exist in 2020. It isn’t a question of whether or not they will exist. The question is what will they be like? Computers will be smaller, more powerful, and require much less energy. What is interesting to consider is the possibility of merging with the technology. The possibility that we will have the computers inside of us. Helping us in many ways. Instant communications with friends and family without the quaint interface of a mouse, keyboard, graphical user interface. It will be as close as a thought away. Considering that soon all of the world’s computing power could be fit inside of a single blood cell, brings entirely new possibilities to light. Computers will be here, they are here to stay.
It’s dumb to think that computers will cease to exist in 10 years, or to even suggest it. There are still companies using ten year old equipment to run their daily operations and there still will be ten years from now.
Where is the technology going? Who knows? I know that projector technology will play a big part, so will touch screens. But beyond that, the technology moves too fast for me to make any predictions.
Computers will continue to dominate our lives, even more so in the decade to come. What’s next? Only time will tell.
