Simple steps to Access blocked websites at school or work…

Posted by: JackSimz , January 11, 2008

Some popular sites that are often blocked in offices, school or workplaces are YouTube, MySpace, Messengers, last.fm, Pandora, Bebo, Google News, Typepad, Orkut, ebay, Blogger blogs, Photobucket, AOL AIM, Facebook, Flickr, etc. etc..

However, there are some methods to bypass internet filters and corporate firewalls to get you unblock and access to restricted websites banned at some universities or office.

First you can go to “program start>run”.
Then type in “cmd”, after that a command prompt will be shown.

In case the “run” function is disabled not showing there, the following alternative method can be used.

Open a blank notepad, type in “command.com”

Save the notepad file as file name “cmd.bat” and save as type “All Files”, here I try to save it at file location “Desktop”.

And here’s the saved file appeared at my Desktop.
Double click to open it.

After double clicked, a command prompt like this will appear.

Type in “ping www.*****.com” where the “*****” stands for the site you wish to browse. Here for example, I wana visit “www.youtube.com”,
I should type “ping www.youtube.com” as above.

Next thing to do is to press this enter key on your keyboard.

After the previous step above, here are the thing to get. Right click your mouse, choose the “mark” function to hightlight the IP number.

Here’s the hightlighted IP number “208.65.153.238” can be used to acces the bocked site you cant visit previously. Copy and paste it to your address bar. Normally, we type the letters URL instead of the IP number in the address bar. But if the ISP software maps the IP address to the web server (reverse DNS lookup), the website will remain blocked.

From the address bar, using this IP number “208.65.153.238” to access this youtube site.

However this method may not work for certain sites I have tried, such as using this IP number “77.73.36.99” to access this miniclip game site will show a stupid result like this “test test” as shown above.

From the same method, using this IP number “65.54.239.212” to access msn webmessenger.

Example showing the same method, using this IP number “74.208.12.174” to access KOOL Instant Messenger site.

It is not encourage to use this to bypass sites that are banned from surfing in colleges or work place, etc. Use them with cautions, no responsible for any damages or rules and regulation you violate from using it. This guide is used for knowledge education purpose only, currently working during the time tested by most people, no guarantee it may or may not be working in future.

I think hide ip software and VPNs are the most secure and safe methods that provides access to blocked websites. That’s why I use IP Privacy which has premium proxies that are not slowing down my Internet connection.

This is getting like extremely irritating. I have tried everything I have seen mentioned on multiple websites and none have worked. My dad even worked on computers for a while and I’ve used techniques he’s taught me and they won’t work either.
